Inafune thinks working with Bungie would be “interesting”
BY Jason Son Sep. 15th, 2009 More on:

If the name Keiji Inafune sounds familiar, that’s because he’s best known for being the creator of Mega Man. He’s also had a substantial role in producing some of Capcom’s biggest games such as the Onimusha series and Dead Rising. Not one to rest on his laurels, Inafune has been keeping an eye out for potential projects that Capcom could pick up. And perhaps, one project down the road could involve a collaboration with Halo creators Bungie.

Recently, Inafune made a visit to the Seattle-based studio and expressed his admiration for their work. “Bungie is an amazing studio that has made incredible games,” Inafune said. “So I was always curious about how they made their games in hopes of being up to add some of the flavor into Capcom games.” He then revealed another reason for flying all the way to Seattle, “Also, I wanted to come down to Bungie in order to see just how well our philosophies on game design matched up. If things clicked, I know it would be interesting to collaborate together on a title in the future.”

Needless to say, this is not an official confirmation of an upcoming Capcom-Bungie game. But we won’t be surprised if one happens to be developed in the future. Halo vs. Capcom arcade fighter, anyone?
