I saw the first half of this video while sitting in a crowded auditorium at PAX… with Tim Schafer. Now you’re jealous. This is the opening cinematic for Brütal Legend, giving a taste of what Eddie Riggs’ life is like when not transported to a time of rock. He’s a roadie for a Metal/Rap/Emo/Scene band called Kabbage Boy, an odd and off-putting mix of Linkin Park, the Beastie Boys, and Judas Priest.

This also debuts the Giant Chrome Murder-Bison, as well as the profanity and gore sensors. Since they want widespread viewing they turned them both off but there is a strong implication that faces will be melted in the real game. As long as you find it as tasteful and necessary as I do. Oh, and the Giant Chrome Murder-Bison? You’re going to have to watch the video.

Brütal Legend is coming to melt faces on the Xbox 360 and PS3 Rocktober 13th, the demo is available tomorrow if you pre-ordered it.
