In celebration of the franchise’s return to racing glory, EA has released a PC demo of Need for Speed Shift for download on their website. What does this trial version entail exactly? How kind of you to ask.
PC gamers will have access to two venues, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and London River, which are both almost definitely in Europe somewhere. EA was also generous enough to put some cars in the demo as well, and they are the BMW M3, 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10, 2006 Lotus Elise 111R, and the 2008 Nissan GT-R. Play the demo long enough and you’ll unlock a fifth car, the 2006 Pagani Zonda F, because the only need stronger than the need for speed is the need for incentives.
If you’re a console gamer, and you’re wondering “where’s my NFS Shift demo? Is my need for speed not great enough?”, then worry not. The demo is scheduled for release on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network early next month.
