Alienware has been riding the hype chu-chu in the last few weeks with a few ‘invasion’ videos (latest one above, previous below) designed to get us all excited for an announcement they’ll be making at the Tokyo Game Show later this week. And they just keep throwing in that coal.
On their Facebook page today, the following was posted, “With TGS just around the corner you can feel the excitement in the air! Alienware will be invading this year’s Tokyo Game Show with an announcement that will shake the gaming world to its foundation. You’ve seen the Invasion videos, now prepare yourself for landfall.”
Whatever the announcement, it can’t possibly live up to this kind of hype. Can it?

Are they big enough to launch a console? They’re just a hardware maker that serves a relatively small market, no? I think someone like Dell would be far more likely to get into the console business of the two.

Oh, didn’t know that. Well, if Dell does release an Alienware branded console then you heard it here first! :)

before i read the comments i thought that. Dell being partners with Alienware that is but i think a console is crazy. no way no matter how much money they have will it never happen. unless a cpmpany buys the rights to Mario no other console will survive with the big 3 that are here now. as for what Alienware is going to announce…maybe a cheap gaming laptop or some hardware add-ons for the xbox
