Sony’s motion controller in March, to sell 4-5 million? |

The same meeting notes that brought news of Sega’s plans to make their entire back catalogue available on PlayStation Network also held some information on Sony’s upcoming motion controller.
The notes mention the already known Spring 2010 release window for what we’ve been calling the Sony wand and narrow it down to a March release in Japan. It’s also written that Sony’s planning on selling four to five million units of the new controller worldwide and that it would be easy to differentiate a PlayStation 3 SKU that comes bundled with it.
Sony has also agreed to provide Sega with a list of their IPs that would work well with the new controller, and has already brought Virtua Tennis as an example.
Of course, these tidbits of info should not be considered official news. Likely, perhaps.

This idea of releasing a “wand” bundle have put me off buying one of the new PS3’s. What’s the point if Sony are just gonna release a better offer a few months down the line?

You can always pick it up later on. I’m sure they’ll start bundling them with games as well like Wii/EA did with MotionPlus and get it for cheap.
