The downloadable Crash Course campaign for Left 4 Dead will become available next Tuesday, on September 29, Valve has announced. The DLC will fit snugly between the No Mercy and Death Toll campaigns the game shipped with and brings new single-player, multiplayer and cooperative gameplay. But the main goal of it is “to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game’s existing Versus campaigns. A recharge timer for infected teammates has also been added, and item spawn behavior has changed for more balanced gameplay.”

The DLC will hit both PC, where it is free, and Xbox 360 for 560 MS Points (blame Microsoft).
