Conchords confirmed for Rock Band
BY Kristen Spencer Sep. 24th, 2009 More on:

The musical stylings of New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-folk band are making their way to Rock Band, according to Team Teabag.

Sub Pop Records, the label for Flight of the Conchords, has confirmed there’s truth to the musical comedy duo’s red carpet claim that three of their tracks will be coming to Rock Band. During an Emmy night interview with TV Guide, Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie revealed that several songs would soon be offered for download via the Rock Band Network, leaving us hoping Sub Pop was finally following through on plans to convert the entirety of their catalog into playable tracks, but fearing we’d been fooled by the Kiwi’s notoriously deadpan delivery.

The truth lies somewhere in the middle, with the release of their full repertoire depending on the success of three yet to be named tracks - two from their eponymous debut album, Flight of the Conchords, and one from I Told You I Was Freaky, releasing October 20. My cold, dead blogger’s heart is dancing the robo boogie even now.
