Fumito Ueda keen to idea of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus going to PS3
BY Tommy Lawler Sep. 26th, 2009 More on:

In light of the upcoming God of War Collection that gives PS3 users the first two entries in the series as well as some minor cosmetic updates, it’s only natural for fans to imagine other PS2 classics getting revived. Answering some community questions provided by 1UP, Fumito Ueda, the creator of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, two games that fit the “Classic” bill quite comfortably, was asked exactly that question. His answer was optimistic if nothing else. “Initially, I didn’t want to consider that, I always thought they were designed for PS2 and should stay there. But lately, I’ve been thinking it would be nice to provide the games to other platforms to reach more users.”

I think most would agree that it would be quite nice. Whether that will actually happen at all… well… that’s another story that will hopefully get posted one day soon.
