BY Joshua Kopstein Sep. 27th, 2009 More on:

Renowned software engineer and chipmusic founding father Matthew Applegate (aka Pixelh8) has unveiled his latest homebrew music software, Music Tech Master Stroke, for the Nintendo DS. Consistent with Pixelh8’s ongoing mission to make micromusic accessible and fun, Master Stroke’s simple and easy-to-use interface gives users direct control of a wide variety of audio properties, as well as an on-screen keyboard, allowing for live performance and improvisation with the DS.

The software will be free when completed, and you can download the beta from Pixelh8’s website right now. Check out the video above to see a demonstration of the program’s capabilities.
