LittleBigPlanet has been shown in action with the new PS3 motion controller at the Tokyo Game Show, and it actually seems to work quite well. Two demonstrators worked their way through a specially-developed level, with one guiding the Sackboy using the standard controller and the other manipulating the environment using the new ‘wand’. As seen in the above video, the wand is aimed at the screen and can be used to create a path by shifting boxes and pulling platforms. Of course you’ll have to find a partner who isn’t a hilarious prankster like this Japanese woman, as demonstrated 1.45 and 2.15 minutes in. We predict the motion controller will be responsible for roughly 5,286 relationship breakdowns on its release next Spring.
