As promised, NCsoft has opened up two new servers for European players of Aion, according to GamesIndustry.biz. Players who parlent Francais will gain access to the Deltras server, while players speaking the Queen’s English can enter the Kahrun server. With long queue times and overcrowded starting areas, some may think NCsoft couldn’t have pulled the trigger on new servers any faster. But it’s not as simple as that. The developer has been stressing that adding too many servers too quickly would lead to overcompensation, and ultimately, underpopulated servers, which is a valid a point. Then again, it’s easy for them to say while we’re stuck in queue hell. Needless to say, situations haven’t been ideal for either NCsoft or its players. But hopefully these additional servers will alleviate the overpopulation headache in Aion.
