As a recently new owner of a sexy slim PS3 (what can I say, I’m a sucker for good advertisements), I’m fairly stoked about finally getting my hands on all of the exclusives that once sat in wait on the other side of the Berlin Wall of Gaming, clambering for their rock n’ roll and Pepsi-Cola. I’m talking about AAA titles that all Xbox owners have dreams-turned-nightmares about, like Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, InFAMOUS, and most of all Uncharted, a game that Naughty Dog was challenging me to complete before the sequel hits on Oct. 13.
Well it looks like my time is up a little prematurely, as the multiplayer demo for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves that was in beta back in June is now open for all on PSN. This is no small tease of what the final product will play like, as the demo includes four maps, four competitive modes and two co-op modes, which is borderline ridiculous and will ensure I don’t finish any of the other games I mentioned previously in the next two weeks.
The demo also shows off some brand new features for all the gamers slash aspiring filmmakers out there. Outside of all that fighting there’s Cinema (think Halo 3‘s Theater Mode without Master Chief), Machinima mode, and the Stage map, all so you can make your own high octane home movies and share them with the world. Could I have picked a better time to jump ship and buy a PS3? I submit that I could not.
