Crytek UK creating a new IP
BY Rain Anderson Oct. 8th, 2009 More on:

Contrary to the hopes and dreams of many, it appears Crytek’s acquired Free Radical — now Crytek UK — is not working on TimeSplitters 4. Instead, studio manager Karl Hilton told Develop, the studio is concepting a brand new CryEngine 3-powered intellectual property, a first-person shooter that he hopes will become “a defining game series” for the UK studio.

“… the opportunity to make any kind of original FPS genre game where we get to focus on the quality of both the multiplayer and single player experience is what drives people at the studio,” Hilton said. “We have a strong history of creativity here, and we want to take that forward with Crytek and the CryENGINE 3.”
