What was cut from the edited L4D2

Even though Gabe Newell declined to comment what changes were made to the submitted and now approved edited version of Left 4 Dead 2 for the Australian market, the Australian Classification Board report reveals that, should this be the version released, players will be deprived of “depictions of decapitation, dismemberment, wound detail or piles of dead bodies lying about the environment.”

The report states that while the melee weapons are still present, “No wound detail is shown and the implicitly dead bodies and blood splatter disappear as they touch the ground.”

EA/Valve have appealed the Classification Board’s decision not to classify the originally submitted unedited version of the game. We should know the results in two weeks, on October 22.
