At the risk of jinxing it all and provoking further delays, we’re going on a dare and say that it would seem like we’re on a roll here. No sooner had we gotten word of Borderlands going gold when we received the message about Tekken 6 reaching that same status as well, keeping the 14 year old fighting legacy well on schedule and on its way for the planned October 27th release date on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. October 30th would be the day Europe and PAL regions can get their hands on the game. A PSP version will follow late November.
As if news of yet another game being on track, a.k.a. not delayed, wasn’t good enough, Namco Bandai released info on the included – and soon to be released as DLC – online modes of the game, including Ranked and Player Match, Data Upload & Download, Scenario Online Co-op and Leaderboards so you can keep track of your accomplishments, and failures, and compare yourself against the rest of the world.
“The development team, myself included, have poured heart and soul into the series for 15 years so it is with great excitement that we await the release of the game and seeing it in the hands of the fans,” said Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken project director. He continued, “Tekken 6 is the pinnacle of the series and we look forward to the reaction from gamers worldwide once they’ve had a chance to play it.”
