Bayonetta creator proclaims, “I’m not gay, Itagaki’s an idiot”
BY Raphael Cua Oct. 12th, 2009 More on:

If ever there was any doubt that Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya was a raging homosexual with a full head of hair (and really, who didn’t consider this at least once?), he has come forth in an interview to set the record straight, so to speak. ”I am bald, but I am not gay,” Kamiya claimed, dispelling any rumors that the man behind a game that features a gorgeous woman who prances around naked through half a game while her freakishly long hair does battle with various demons was gay with a fabulous mane.

If that wasn’t bizarre enough, he continued on with his ongoing feud with ex-Team Ninja boss Tomonobu Itagaki. ”It’s a huge mistake to think like an idiot that big breasts on women seem erotic,” referring to Itagaki’s top heavy female protagonists in the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series. Kamiya may not be into massive mammaries, but it’s abundantly clear that he’s got a hair fetish strong enough to give his protagonist lovely locks capable of transforming into a massive boot to defeat her enemies. Say what you will about Kamiya’s taste in female anatomy, but you can’t blame the guy for being subtle about it.

I have to say, I find the way Bayonetta carries herself and her attack style more attractive than the independent breast physics pioneered by Team Ninja. I wonder what the ESRB will say about her constant disrobing upon successful combos. If they have an intern who takes notes, his pen will be burning.
