New Super Mario Bros. Wii has sales longevity, says Miyamoto
BY Jason Son Oct. 12th, 2009 More on:

New Super Mario Bros. Wii hits store shelves next month and many people will be keeping an eye on its retail performance this holiday season. Especially one Shigeru Miyamoto. While presenting the game at a trade event held in Japan, Nintendo’s maestro expressed his confidence in the newest console addition to the Mario franchise. According to Andriasang, Miyamoto believes, “It’s a Mario that will continue selling even after one year has passed.” It’s a bold statement, even for someone whose name is synonymous with Nintendo. We’re not expecting New Super Mario Bros. Wii to be a blockbuster like Wii Fit was, but we won’t be surprised if Miyamoto’s words come to fruition either.
