Next Prince of Persia to take best parts of previous games |

During his GDC China keynote, Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner was asked by the audience how he felt the franchise would evolve. “I don’t have a preconception of what the Prince of Persia game in 10 years should look like,” he replied.
“I think we’re at a good place because the games that have been done up to this point have been so scattered and the franchise isn’t locked into one place, but I think people have feelings about which parts they like best… The next game can take the best parts of the franchise and build from there.”
The last Prince of Persia title was met with mixed reviews and was quite different than the last-gen PoP trilogy. I myself wasn’t a big fan of the latest PoP and I have hopes that the game will return to its glory days when The Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones were out.
What do you guys think? What parts of the previous PoP games should Mechner use in the next title?

it should look like the new one but keep the mechanics of the trilogy.

While I truly loved the new game, that’s a winning combination right there.

You know what? I would have to agree as well. Nice way to put it.

agreed, even if i would even be more precise: “mechanics of the third one” (no combat centric but Plateform + “instant Kills” forcing a strategic and tactical assassin approach )… the rythm and gameplay was balanced and fun.

Oh and no more dark elements like in 2 and 3.
Keep it simple like 1.

I think that playing prince of Persia 3 would be about as fun as scraping dog poo off your little brother’s shoes G@Y

I loved the new one. I’d love a continuation of it in the same style and gameplay.
