With a little new franchise called Dragon Age they’re launching in mere weeks now, followed by Mass Effect 2 in a few months, and this little thing keeping them busy, one can see why visiting an old favorite like Jade Empire may be difficult. But, according to Dragon Age: Origins lead designer Mike Laidlaw, never say never.
“We will certainly announce it if it’s going to be coming out. At this point, Jade Empire is a staff favourite and a lot of us love it, so we’d love to revisit it at some point,” Laidlaw said in a recent interview but pointed out that for the time being the company is busy with Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2, two games they are “very focused on.”
Although, he also said, “Well… we haven’t announced anything on Jade Empire 2 yet,” which leads us to believe BioWare may, just may be doing more than casually chatting about the possibility of a second game.
