Download revenues “getting interesting,” Guitar Hero boss says
BY Rain Anderson Oct. 14th, 2009 More on:

According to Activision’s Guitar Hero business CEO Dan Rosensweig, the company is seeing online revenue growth that is “getting interesting.” While supplying downloadable content three years ago was “not at all” important to the franchise, he told gi.biz, now that platform holders are “moving towards greater connectivity” it appears the only way to go is up.

“… we just see a constant rise in the percentage of our users that are connected to the internet, the percentage that are playing online, and the percentage that are downloading music - it just keeps getting bigger and bigger.”

Without going into the numbers, Rosensweig said every passing month sets a  new revenue record, and that “it’s getting to the point of being interesting.”
