Earlier today news of a possible Nvidia-powered handheld from Nintendo surfaced, news that Nintendo has now responded to with the usual, anticlimactic line given in situations like these — it’s just “rumor and speculation,” a Nintendo rep told CVG.

According to the rumor, the handheld will be unveiled at the end of next year and is powered by Nvidia’s Tegra architecture, the tech used in the latest smartphones as well as Zune HD.
