When Gearbox CEO Randy Pithford said “people are going to be surprised when they find out how quickly we’re coming, and with what content we’re coming” with regards to additional content for Borderlands, he really wasn’t kidding. Publisher 2K has today announced the first piece of DLC for the game, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, and as the title tells, Gearbox has chosen the resurrected popularity of zombies as the theme for this “full-fledged expansion.”
The new content will task players with curing the inhabitants of Jakobs Cove alongside Dr. Ned, the guy that created the zombies and “other abominations” that now roam the island in the first place.
The content, which is “the first in a series,” is promised to arrive on all platforms this year for $9.99/800 MS Points.
