Forza Motorsport 3 launches in style
BY Lee Bradley Oct. 16th, 2009 More on:

Last night saw the official launch party for the highly-anticipated release of Forza Motorsport 3. Held at London’s swanky Mayfair, the event was hosted by none other than Murray Walker, the excitable high-pitched legend of British Formula One commentary.

Walker kicked off proceedings by taking to the stage and speaking briefly about the incredible attention to detail featured in Forza 3, going on to say that the game would spark the racing passions of both hardcore racing fans and newcomers alike.

He was then joined on stage by the statuesque (seriously, she’s like a giant) petrol-head model Jodie Kidd, who rather impressively showed off her skills as Walker commentated. Playing a networked game against challengers in the room, she did herself proud by finishing first! Bless her.

Almost overshadowing the action indoors however, was the impressive collection of cars parked outside. Aston Martin’s, Ferrari’s and Lambos - all decked out in Forza and Xbox decals - fought for the attention of both slightly sozzled game journos and passers by. The night was then finished off by DJs and Norweigan metal band El Caco, performing their song ‘One Week’ as featured in the game’s soundtrack.

Forza Motorsport 3 goes on sale Oct. 23 in Europe and Oct. 27 in North America.
