R.U.S.E. gameplay trailer pumps deception, fakes

This five-minute gameplay video of Ubisoft’s upcoming RTS R.U.S.E. wastes no time in getting us acquainted with the various deception abilities available to players in a typical match. Referred to as the “Pump Fake” strategy, the term is commonly used in American football to describe the act of the quarterback pretending to throw the ball by engaging in a throwing motion, only to later throw the ball somewhere else. There’s plenty of faking in the video but not much pumping. Those who are confident in the power of their PC are still able to sign-up for the V.I.P. Beta Test at Ubisoft’s website. The final game however, is expected to arrive on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the PC in early 2010.
