Fourzerotwo: No delay on PC for Modern Warfare 2, there will be Prestige and Steam supprt
BY Vidal Stewart Oct. 17th, 2009 More on:

A few weeks ago, a rumor began to spread that Modern Warfare 2 for the PC was delayed to Nov. 24. About a minute later, it was said to only be delayed in Europe, which lead European retailers to change their dates, confirming for some that it was truly delayed.

It appears the rumors were, in fact, rumors, as Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has announced that there is no delay for the Modern Warfare 2 on the PC. He also confirms that Prestige Mode, which was absent from the PC version of Call of Duty 4, will make an entrance in Modern Warfare 2. Minimum requirements will also be revealed very soon. Steam support and lots of it is on the way as well. Could that mean Steam achievements and Steam cloud for those who purchase through the digital distributor perhaps? Both Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty: World at War were released on Steam a week after their retail release, so could it mean a street date release for MW2 as well? Someone get a towel because all this talk of Valve’s digital distribution platform is getting us, steamy.
