A year after the popular third-person shooter was first released, Sony has now announced a new Cold Front DLC pack for SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation.

The Cold Front DLC features a new snowy Eastern European area with two new maps and three remakes of classic SOCOM maps, along with new snow gear, a new game mode called Arms Run, and new weapons and attachments including a thermal vision scope (full details at PlayStation.Blog).

The Cold Front pack will be available for download on PSN for $14.99 on a yet-to-be-announced date. A bit pricey for just a DLC pack, not to mention how Confrontation was plagued with bugs and issues at launch and then patched several times. You would think Sony would give it away for free, especially to us dedicated fans who stayed loyal and kept on playing even though the game had its problems.
