Everyone’s favorite badass scientist, Gordon Freeman, managed to snag the title of “All-Time Greatest Game Hero” this past week at GameSpot. In a grueling competition with 63 other game characters, Freeman pulled 55.8% of the votes. In commemoration of the event, Valve is knocking 55.8% off the price of all Half-Life games.

If you’ve managed to miss the boat on the Half-Life games, I will first shun you, and then tell you that now is definitely the time to catch up. Half-Life is available for under five bucks, with the sequel just shy of the nine dollar mark. Act fast though, the deal is only good through the weekend.
