Real-time co-op between EVE and DUST? |

Players of EVE Online and DUST 514, the popular space MMO and its recently announced MMOFPS spin-off, respectively, will be able to communicate with each other in ways not before seen in MMOs. The two games are set in the same universe at the same time, allowing, for example, EVE Online players on the PC to hire DUST 514 players on the consoles to fight ground battles for them. But exactly how far could this kind of cooperation go?
It’s one thing to post a ‘mercenaries wanted’ ad on a board that players from both games can interact with, but could real-time in-game cooperation be an option as well? An answer developer CCP’s CEO Hilmar Petursson gave in a recent interview leaves us hopeful that it just, just might happen.
When asked if pulling off coordinated attacks like an orbital weapon barrage would be a possibility, Petursson said they’re “not able to discuss the real-time communication possibilities” at this time, leading us to believe they could at least be thinking of linking the two MMOs together in such a manner. And that’s enough to get us all excited.

What is best for PC gamer is to not spend their money on this junk.
There are good games coming out now and soon. Plus Battlefield Bad Company 2 in a couple of months.

Something like would be awesome and totally pushing the envelope. I think, like the image here shows, the EVE and Dust people could even meet to plan out attacks. Now I’m all excited too. Make it happen CCP!!

I’d like to see Dust being developed for PC as well as consoles, on account of the fact I like the idea of being a mercenary.

Cross-platform cross-MMO co-op? That’s a mouthful :)
