The PC version of Dirt 2 will be out in North America, EPAC territories, and UK on December 1st, 3rd, and 4th, respectively, Codemasters announced today. The company also sent out a tech video (above), trailer (below), and images (here), showing off the reason why the release of the PC version is lagging almost three months behind its console brethren — the inclusion of DirectX 11.
Bryan Marshall, chief technical officer, says Codemasters simply couldn’t miss the opportunity to “enter into a strategic relationship with Microsoft to fuse key DirectX 11 technologies with Codemasters’ EGO Engine.” To “set the new standard in race gaming on home computers was irresistible,” he says.
