Naughty Dog is planning to release the first pieces of downloadable content, some free and some not, for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves as soon as this year, Creative Director Amy Hennig has said in a recent interview. “… what we’re prepared to say is that there will be DLC available before the end of the year,” she told IndustryGamers and echoed what multiplayer designer Justin Richmond said a while back about the kind of content we can expect, “Without going into specifics, it’ll involve new maps, new characters, things like that … we’re definitely taking it very seriously.”

Hennig also said that, according to early numbers being reported in, Among Thieves is exceeding any estimates Naughty Dog had internally and is outselling its predecessor by “many, many times.”

“We’re just blown away – it’s surreal for us to see the reaction the game’s getting.”
