According to a recent job listing posted by the EA Boom Blox team, “our last two titles were Wii-based, but our next titles will be for the next generation.” Unless they’re confirming the Xbox 720 or PS4, we’re assuming that by “next generation” they’re referring to the Xbox 360 and PS3 and their motion controls.
Harvey Elliott, head of EA Bright Light studio in Guildford, already hinted back in July of Boom Blox going HD. He said that the game is “about the motion control, it’s about throwing a ball or throwing an object,” something that back then wasn’t possible on HD consoles. However, with the release of Microsoft’s Natal and Sony’s motion controller next year, it wouldn’t be very EA, so to speak, to not bring the game onto the Xbox 360 and PS3. We would in fact be very surprised if they didn’t.
Albeit the image above doesn’t show any kind of HD visuals to speak of, we have no trouble envisioning how that block of a sheep would look like in all of its high definition glory.
