Double XP weekends are a time to shut the curtains, cut off most ties to the human world, and become obsessed with something that doesn’t really exist. Coincidentally, so is Halloween. That’s why the good folks at Epic are combining the two from October 30th to November 2nd to bring us the All Hollows Eve Double XP Event, full of frantic Gears of War 2 fun for when we’re not out trick or treating. October 26th will see the launch of Title Update 5, giving us four days to get used to all the tweaks and improvements before we get stuck into the XP goodness.

The benefits stretch across all competitive modes, plus Horde with another bonus to winning teams. Of course, there are a few special additions to go along with the weekend, such as an increased amount of Boomers, featuring in any wave.
