Tim Shafer’s metalicious Brütal Legend will be receiving its first downloadable content at the beginning of next month, EA has announced. Called Tears of the Hextadon, the DLC consists of two new Stage Battle multiplayer maps, Circle of Tears and Death’s Fjord, created for the sole purpose of keeping Shafer busy, apparently. “I play Brütal Legend online every night,” the creator said. “And I need more maps!”

The content will be available on Xbox Live on November 3rd for 400 MS Points and on PlayStation Network on the 5th. Interestingly, the DLC will be free on PSN until the 19th, or two weeks, after which it’ll jump to $4.99, so get it quickly. Some screens of the new content below.
