First Assassin’s Creed short released
BY Rain Anderson Oct. 27th, 2009 More on:

The first of the Assassin’s Creed Lineage live action shorts has been released and, while I really wasn’t hoping for much, it’s a fairly interesting way to add to the story Ubisoft is telling. It’s just a shame that the overall solid presentation is paired with some utterly average performances from the cast. But, still enjoyable and helps pass some time before the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions arrive on November 17 in the US and November 20 in Europe.

Its interesting that software companies are starting to tell their stories in live action sequences - I rather enjoy seeing them. The feel of the game is definately in this video - very nice for what I’m sure the budget was.

Still, if I had to complain - the lead character (the assassin) was a bit… older… than I had envisioned. I understand… family man and all… but with the average life exectancy during the Rennessence between 35 and 40 (depending on where you get your numbers) as well as the agility he’s going to have to pull off and still remain believeable later doesn’t sell it to me. Hopefully the Prince of Persia movie has better acting that this.

The real impotant item here is the game - I’m very much looking forward to that!

He is indeed older than expected, but let’s not forget that he is the father of Ezio, not Ezio himself, who is the actual main character.

As for the production itself, it’s all kinds of good. Better than expected actually.
