Survivors of the upcoming eastern-flavored apocalypse will have to do the surviving part all on their own — there won’t be any multiplayer modes in the recently (re)announced Metro 2033.
In response to a fan question, the game’s official twitter said the devs are “100% focused on single player … no multiplayer sorry.” One could say the glass is half full though as same tweet mentions the Ukranian-based dev is aiming for the single-player portion to be “a pretty long experience.” The definition of “long” varies though, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
The game’s set for an early 2010 release on the PC and Xbox 360.

It may become the best post-apocalypse game out there but I’m sooooo sick of this kind of setting. Borderlands and Rage are at least visually different. Hope they do something really cool with the gameplay.
