Telltale Games is a messiah sent down by the adventure game gods to save an entire genre, and their good deeds continue as Tales of Monkey Island Episode 4: The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood will be available to download on Friday, Oct. 30th. Word from the press release is that Guybrush has been *SPOILER WARNING* “double-crossed by the pirate hunter Morgan LeFlay and returned to Flotsam Island against his will. Facing an angry mob of poxed pirates with a long list of grievances, Guybrush must defend himself in court against a smooth-talking prosecutor and absolve himself of the false accusations in order to continue his quest to rid the Caribbean of the insidious pox of LeChuck!”

Good news for Monkey Island fans, but the great news for Monkey Island fans is in the image above as it features everyone’s favorite shyster: Stan the Used Ship Salesman. No word yet on much it’s gonna take to get the player in the boat of their dreams, but considering the press release references a “smooth-talking prosecutor”, Stan might have taken up a new profession. Either way, it’s great to have him and his goofy hat back.
