There have been so many hints and whispers about the inevitable Dead Space 2 that it almost feels like this shouldn’t even be posted. But let’s anyway.

According to a piece by Reuters which talks about the rising popularity of horror games, it is casually mentioned that “Dead Space 2 is in development for next year.” The piece doesn’t go any deeper than that but let’s add this to our growing pile of apparent Dead Space 2 existence confirmations and recap.

In May, the game’s technical/development director added Dead Space 2 to his LinkedIn profile. Later in July, Variety reported that both Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 are in development simultaneously. And in September developer Visceral Games announced it was looking for developers to work on the “Dead Space franchise on Xbox360 and PS3” while mentioning that “the game is in the later stages of pre-production, ready for production in the next few months.”

So yeah, more Dead Space is coming.
