Splinter Cell stays on 360 “until further notice”
BY Rain Anderson Oct. 30th, 2009 More on:

Ok, I think it’s time to call it — Splinter Cell Conviction will be coming to the PS3 at some point, just like Double Agent did. Comments on the game have recently moved from being ‘it’s meant for the 360‘ to ‘there’s always hope for a PS3 version‘, and now Yannis Mallat, the CEO of Ubisoft’s Toronto and Montreal studios, says the series is staying on the 360 “until further notice.”

He did add, “However, I’m only the one making the games, you should talk to the people in Paris [for a final answer],” but that sounds like a bunch of PR hooey for ‘I’m not high enough on Ubi’s food chain to announce such things.’ Whaddaya think?

Yeah, they’re not kidding anyone :) A timed exclusive will still benefit MS much more but there are a lot of PS3s out there too that Ubisoft can made money on, especially considering the game’s almost-indefinite development cycle.
