Two possible Left 4 Dead 2 DLC packs exhumed from code
BY Sebastian Nordlund Oct. 30th, 2009 More on:

Errors. We sure hate them, but when they hint at forthcoming goodness, our feelings toward them are those of love. Observant Zombolians have found that embedded in the code of the Left 4 Dead 2 PC demo were the names of two possible DLCs for the game of the dead, “Apocalyptic Pack” and “Miracle Pack.” The reason these are believed to be DLCs is based on the suggestion that the error messages found in the code are meant to be displayed when a player is kicked out of a multiplayer match due to not having these packs installed.

Either developers are getting sloppy, or gamers are way more intelligent creatures than originally thought, but it would seem that code is “the” source for news these day, as this isn’t the first time this has happened. There’s no official word about this being apocalyptically false or miraculously true at the moment, so let’s put this one under “awaiting confirmation” for the time being, shall we?
