DLC names weren’t actual DLC, Valve says
BY Vidal Stewart Oct. 31st, 2009 More on:

When the names of two supposed DLC packs surfaced thanks to some swift investigation of the contents of the PC demo, many thought that Valve already had DLC ready to go for Left 4 Dead 2. But, it turns out, the listed “Apocalyptic Pack” and “Miracle Pack” shouldn’t be taken as confirmation of any add-on content after all.

“If you’re reading in the forums and you’re reading about the “Miracle” DLC or whatever, that’s test code. To get tested through Microsoft certification we had to do test scenarios with DLC. We haven’t actually come out internally with what we’re going to do yet,” said Left 4 Dead 2 writer Chet Faliszek. While the Left 4 Dead 2 demo did reveal a few references to the original survivors, Faliszek commented saying, “They’re not dead, so we’ll see what happens with that. They’re not undead either.” Which pretty much means they’re alive.
