How did PSP Go fare in Japan debut?
BY Jason Son Nov. 2nd, 2009 More on:

According to Enterbrain, publisher of Japanese game mag Famitsu, the PSPgo sold 28,275 units when it launched in Japan yesterday. It’s hard to tell if that’s good news or not, since their weekly sales tracking period ends on Sunday and the tally was just for that one day. Japanese game blog Andriasang mentions that total domestic sales for PlayStation Portable before the launch of the Go was tabbed at 12,797,180 units. It’ll be interesting to see if the PSPgo has an impact, if any, on that figure when we get a broader time period for the data. And hopefully, its performance in Japan will be easier to determine than it has been for other regions.
