I think I have finally discovered what target demographic Nintendo is now focusing on for its Wii console - sword fanciers. With Red Steel 2 making ninjas cool again and Wii Sports Resort featuring a sword fighting game, both fully utilizing the MotionPlus accessory, they need only to bring a classic character in to cement the deal; someone with a large following and a green unitard outfit with a matching traveling gnome hat. Hmm…
According to Shigeru Miyamoto, the next iteration of the Zelda franchise will definitely require the MotionPlus add-on “to make you feel much more like you’re actually fighting while holding a sword in your hand.” Additionally, players will get to use the accessory to target on-screen items in place of the Wii’s infrared sensor, creating a “a much more convenient targeting system and a more pleasurable playing experience.”

Will this be the Legend of Zelda that captures me the way Wind Waker did? One can only hope.
