Assassin’s Creed II has been quite pro-PlayStation in it’s run up to launch, demoing on Sony’s stage at E3, and featuring six exclusive weapons for those that own the PSP game Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines. Now its going to be advertising exclusively for the system too.
Ubisoft have signed up with Sony to produce commercials that only relate to the PlayStation version of the game. Its a move that will ensure more activity “than would have been possible otherwise,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. In other words, with Sony’s money they can put the game out there much more than on their own budget. Rest assured, 360 fans, this won’t affect the Xbox 360 version of the game in any way.
This deal joined the impressive pre-order figures for the game, and two new trailers for you to feast your eyes upon. The first looks at the games different factions — there are a few different people that will help you develop your skills at first, and then aid your quests later on, like the mercenaries that will fight with you. The second video takes you through how the team at Ubisoft went from the character of Altair to Ezio, who seems to be a much more aggressive character than the first game’s star. As if we haven’t said it enough, Assassin’s Creed II hits retail on PS3 and 360 on November 17th, with PAL territories getting it on the 20th.
