Back in July, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures tried to bring former players back into the game world with some free playing time. The promotion worked like a charm and servers began filling up like crazy. Actually, it worked so good that Funcom is doing it again this month to show the further progress the company has achieved with the game.
“We are very proud of what have been able to do with the game since launch,” says Morten Larssen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Funcom. “The game has grown and improved at a remarkable pace, and we continue to introduce new content, new features and new improvements. We are introducing these fantastic rewards as we know that coming back to an MMO demands effort, and we want to make sure that as many former players as possible are exposed to the new and improved Age of Conan.”
Previously active players have been asked to come back and play the MMORPG for a whole two weeks at no charge. During that time, they will receive a double experience boost as well as larger rewards for those who decide to stay on past the free period. Depending on which subscription tier players choose, the rewards range from an additional 7 days of gaming for free at the one month level, a guaranteed beta spot in The Secret World for a three month subscription, a level 40 helmet with a 10% XP modifier for the six month tier, and for a whole year subscription Funcom will send players a free copy of the Rise of the Godslayer expansion.
All the rewards for the lower tiers are included in the higher tier offerings, so players that go for the full year will receive all the rewards listed. Currently active and brand new players are also eligible for the rewards listed, so no need to disappear to reap these benefits. Join the fight here.
