Tony Hawk Ride to roll out possible sequels
BY Brian Dahlquist Nov. 24th, 2009 More on:

Paying $120 for a game and a controller would make most gamers think twice, but if said controller only worked for that one game it would be a deal breaker for most. Luckily, for those early adopters who picked up a copy of Tony Hawk Ride recently, ideas for more games using the board are already being discussed.

Renowned skateboarder and star of the series Tony Hawk dropped a few details for the future of the Ride series. “As far as I’m concerned, it’s all systems go with trying to make at least a sequel for this, because I feel like we’ve only just really tapped what’s possible with this technology,” Hawk said.

Hawk also hinted at other avenues for the board other than skateboarding. “I think that the first priority, beyond skateboarding, would be snowboarding because that would lend itself [to the board] a little bit easier [than other genres], and beyond that I’d love to do a surfing game. I always thought that Kelly Slater’s [Pro Surfer] was an underrated title for the PlayStation 2.”

While the reviews haven’t exactly been gushing for the new game, at least people who dropped the cash can be comforted that their board will likely be used for more than just its maiden voyage.
