It’s gotta be the mustache. Whatever it is, the numbers don’t lie - as reported by Nintendo honcho Reggie Fils-Aime, 80% of female gamers in the US own a Nintendo console. At a recent conference, Fils-Aime stated that there are 11.7 million female console gamers in the US, compared to 33.3 million dudes. Of those 11.7 million fair bodies, Microsoft and Sony have scant 11% and 9% market shares, respectively. So where’s the allure in Nintendo? The pick-up-and-play ease that most Wii games exhibit? Or is it the majestic build of that certain Italian plumber?
