Rebellion understands Aussies denying AvP classification, will not release a “sanitised” version

Responding to the recent news that Australia has refused to classify Aliens vs. Predator, developer Rebellion says that, while understanding the ‘no choice’ decision the classification board was faced with given the lack of a Mature-equivalent rating in the country, they will not be appealing the decision with “a sanitised” version of the game. “… we agree strongly that our game is not suitable for game players who are not adults,” CEO Jason Kingsley says. “… we wanted to create a title that was true to the source material. It is for adults, and it is bloody and frightening, that was our intent.”

He adds: “We will not be releasing a sanitised or cut down version for territories where adults are not considered by their governments to be able to make their own entertainment choices.”

That would include Germany too then.
