LucasArts announced just now at the VGAs the sequel to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, optimally named Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. It was actually presented by the “badass motherf***er” that is Samuel L. Jackson.
According to a Kotaku tipster, “It is everything the first game could/should have been and a lot lot more (online support!)” and with a dark ambient feel to it with a huge monster dropping dead in the end, it might just be that and much much more. You’re still the Apprentice but besides this, it’s still very vague and there’s not much to it. No release date was given although the tipster aforementioned also said it would be out late 2010. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Cool loved the first one. Like every new SW game the force keeps getting bigger & badder but everytime it does it weakens Palpatine’s stature as the Emperor. Just my 2c anyway.
This trailer does look v-cool and the Rancor being hurled out is a very nice touch.
God, why? Of all the properties – Battlefront, KOTOR, etc – that they could have sequelized, they chose THIS? The Force Unleashed was a flop, plain and simple.
My guess is that they thought The Force Unleashed would be a big hit (it wasn’t) and a critical darling (it wasn’t) and started work on II before the first game was even released.
The game has actually sold around 6-7 million all platforms combined. I’d call that a hit.
Yes, they should have finished BF3 but instead they did TUF2 which is cool too but they must have some contract problem or something regarding the BF3 with Free Radical or that should have been the new release. I loved TUF2 but I am a SW nutbag. Alot of people think the game was flawed due to camera settings ect.. but thats cause they suck at the game mostly, once you get good, the game is near perfect. It was however too short most def, and the releasing of online content regarding Temple, Tattooine and now HOTH level is not DLC is bull. I have to buy sith edition to get play one level, bunk! That would make me not want to support new game but only because it is a SW game, I will buy it. I just hate how long it takes to put out SW games. I dont count Clone wars REp Heroes, finished in two days! so last SW game was TUF. That was over a yr ago. TOR is set for late 2010 and so is TUF2. They need to work faster and reemploy all Lucas arts employees to do it. By the way TUF was not a flop regardless of bad reviews, It grossed over half a billion retail sales, hardly a flop but not exactly a starwars blockbuster either. They should release BF3 and KOTOR3 on all platforms not just an MMO. Those are the greatest SW games ever made, and TUF should most definitely get made into a feature film, so get off your but George, stop watching Your daughters MMA fights and get to the studio and produce that Movie, your not too old yet, Rest, Rest, — Master Lucas you cant die! common George, they gave you an awsome storyline, you have to make it Cannon now! get MCallum or Feloni to do most of work then!
You are a loser, the force unleashed is the best star wars game period. Go make out with your mom dork.

No official date has been given yet — only “2010″. My bet would be around the fall/holiday period though.
All The Games You Just Mentioned Wasn’t That Much Of A Hit….But TFU Is Hell Way Better Than Your F****** “Hit” Games.

I don’t know if you guys keep talking on this blog, but I’ve been posting on every Star Wars the Force Unleashed blog that I could find that I just pre-ordered Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2 Collectors Edition for Ps3 and it ships out 10/26/10! :)
