2K has sent out a few details about Spec Ops: The Line, the recently revealed PS3/PC/360-bound third-person shooter developed by the Germany-based Yager.
The game takes place in a Dubai in ruins, left so by a series of catastrophic sandstorms. As could be seen in the debut trailer, the sand is actually part of the gameplay and can both assist and hinder the players’ progress as they embark on an operation to locate and bring home an MIA Colonel.
A multiplayer component will also be present, though no details beyond a tease — it “offers a unique perspective on the single-player storyline” — have been given.
The Line won’t be released any time soon either. It’s currently set for release during Take-Two’s 2011 fiscal year, which begins in November, 2010.
