Modern Warfare 2’s PC version not quite stacking up |

The US retail sales of Modern Warfare 2’s PC version haven’t been quite as impressive as those of its console counterparts. While the game sold over six million Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 copies in the month of November, the PC version sold only around 170,000 copies, Gamasutra reports — that’s 35 times less.
To its credit though, that number would be considerably larger if Steam sales would be taken into account. There’s unfortunately no data available on how many people have used digital means to buy the game but considering that around 108,000 people have played the game online just today, we’ll go ahead and say “plenty.”

Sure, though I’m sure quite a few of them if not most bought the game anyway :) No hard numbers either way though..

Not necessary though, they can still could have played the game by pirating it, so they wouldn’t have missed anything anyways while keeping the boycott on.
Console piracy needs to pick up to sort this whole PC - Console bias in the industry.
Thats the only solution i see as piracy will be with us no matter what.

Do pirated games even show up in Valve’s stats? They bypass Steam entirely, no?
